Due to continued growth and expansion of our Finance and Corporate Services team, we have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our finance team and assist with the ongoing accounting operations for the New Zealand business.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, the Accountant will support the finance team in delivering the accounting and administration functions for our New Zealand business.

Duties/Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Prepare and complete month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Assist with preparation of Month end financial reporting pack.

• Assist with calculation and reconciliation of inventory, WIP, provisions and reserves.

• Assist with implementation of relevant accounting standards and policies.

• Provide support to branch managers and administration staff at branch level.

• Assist with year-end audit process.

• Assist with annual Income Tax Return and Fringe Benefits Tax

• Assist with the preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports.

• Prepare management financial reports as required.

About you:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role.

• Relevant Accounting Qualification.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

• Experience using Excel and other accounting software.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills are essential.
